Hal Mann Vella Group posts €892,778 first-half profit

Revenue and earnings decline in first half

Hal Mann Vella Group plc reported revenue of approximately €13.79 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, down from €15.61 million in the same period last year.

Operating profit fell to €2.83 million from €3.33 million, while profit before tax decreased to €996,880, compared with €1.36 million a year earlier. Profit for the period stood at €892,778, down from €2.15 million in the first half of 2025.

Tax difference weighs on year-on-year comparison

The decline in net profit was also influenced by the Group’s tax position. In the first half of 2025, Hal Mann Vella recorded an income-tax credit of €784,461, while the latest period included a tax expense of €104,102.

Earnings per share for the six-month period amounted to €0.0018, equivalent to 0.18 cents per share.

Total assets rise to €135.5m

Despite the lower earnings, the Group’s total assets increased to approximately €135.51 million, up from €131.96 million at the end of 2025.

Total equity stood at €58.26 million, while liabilities amounted to around €77.25 million.

The interim financial statements were independently reviewed, with the reviewer stating that nothing had come to its attention to suggest that the accounts were not prepared, in all material respects, in accordance with IAS 34 Interim Financial Reporting.
