Central Business Centres receives approval for admission of €16.75 million bond issue to the Official List
Central Business Centres announces €16.75 million bond issue
Central Business Centres plc (CBC) has listed €16.75 million in new 5.9% unsecured callable bonds on the Malta Stock Exchange.
The bonds were admitted to the Official List on 7 October 2026, with trading scheduled to begin on 8 October.
The new bonds, which are due for repayment between 2031 and 2036, form the second tranche of the Company’s first series under its €30 million bond programme.
New issue follows earlier bond offering
The listing follows the publication of CBC’s base prospectus in October 2025 and the final terms for the second tranche on 31 August 2026.
The €16.75 million issue is part of the Company’s €30 million programme, which allows it to raise funds through different bond offerings.
Each bond has a nominal value of €100 and pays interest at 5.9% annually.
Interest began accruing on 7 October 2026, with the first payment due on 7 October 2027. Bondholders will receive interest annually thereafter, in line with the terms of the issue.
The bonds have been assigned ISIN MT0000881251.
Existing bondholders given option to exchange
Investors holding CBC’s existing 4.40% unsecured bonds due in 2027 were also given the opportunity to exchange their holdings for the new 5.9% bonds.
Eligible bondholders could transfer all or part of their existing investment into the new issue.
For those who took up the offer, this meant moving from bonds due to mature in 2027 to securities offering a higher interest rate but a later repayment date.
CBC also confirmed that trading in its outstanding 2017 bonds was expected to resume on 8 October 2026, the same day trading in the new bonds was scheduled to begin.
