Interim results approved

The Board met on 25 August 2026 to approve the financial statements for the six months ended 30 June 2026, with the announcement published on the OAM the following morning.

For the period, AGB Finance reported a profit before tax of €52,065 and a profit after tax of €22,044. Interest income from its loan to parent company AB Investments Limited amounted to €519,200, while interest payable to bondholders totalled €452,362.

Total assets increased to approximately €25.51 million at the end of June, up from €16.38 million at the end of 2025.

€8.7 million bond issue

One of the main developments during the first half of the year was the issue of €8.7 million in 5.7% secured bonds due in 2036. The issue forms part of AGB Finance‘s €25 million Secured Bonds Issuance Programme.

The bonds are secured by a first-ranking special hypothec over the Corks Hotel and the Sliema Development Site.

Update for bondholders

AGB Finance primarily acts as a financing vehicle for AB Investments, using funds raised through the capital market to provide financing to its parent company.

The interim results give bondholders an updated picture of the company’s financial position following the latest bond issue, including its interest income and costs and the increase in its asset base. No dividend was recommended for the period.
